The Vall Fosca, located in the Pyrenees, in the north of the Pallars Jussà region, is a suggestive setting in which the water, the mountains, the most varied vegetation and different species of animals coexist harmoniously.

The valley begins at 800 m and the highest village is Capdella which is located at an altitude of 1420 meters and closes the set of 19 rural villages that make up the Vall Fosca: the Pobleta de Bellveí, Estavill, Envall, Antist, Castell-estaó , Beranui, La Plana de Mont-ros, Astell, Obeix, Aguiró, Paüls, Pobellà, Mont-ros, Molinos, La Torre de Capdella, Aiguabella, Espui and the Central de Capdella.

The river Flamisell is the axis of the valley. During its journey we will be able to enjoy a constantly changing landscape that will take us to the top of the Vall Fosca where there is the cable car that gives access to the National Park of Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici Lake, and where we can visit more than 30 ponds.
